Rules
1)
The ball will be size four (4).
2) Maximum number of players on the field shall be Five (5) for
boys Five (5) for girls on the U10 sized fields. Goalies
are used. The minimum number of players for a match is 4 per side with
no goalie used. Teams must play even up soccer if the minimum is
not available for one team.
3) Unlimited substitutions:
1) Prior to a throw-in, your team's
2) Prior to a goal-kick by either team
3) After a goal by either team
4) After an injury on either team when referee stops play
5) At half time.
4) Play Time: The game shall be two (2) equal halves of 25 minutes
each with a five (5) minute half. Each player shall play a
Minimum of 50% of the total playing time.
5) Players equipment: Each player shall wear league shirt,
shorts and socks for all league games. Sweats may be worn underneath
uniforms. Socks must show so referee may see color. Each player
must wear shin guards for all practices & games. Tennis
shoes and rounded cleats must be worn. NO JEWELRY OF ANY TYPE.
NO HARD HAIR BANDS, HATS OR SUN GLASSES. All glasses must be
either sports type or held on with secure strap.
6) Referees: Registered Referees will be used. All referee's
decisions on points of fact with the game shall be final. The referee
shall explain all rule infractions briefly to the offending player.
Linesmen: Off sides in the game may be called if by a lines man or the
center referee.
7) Start of Play, Free kicks will take place with all players
at least 8 yards away from the ball. All other procedures on these
items shall conform to FIFA rules &
regulations. All kicks shall be in-direct. No Penalty kicks shall be
taken. Move the ball closest to outside of penalty box and take an
in-direct kick.
8) Off-sides shall be called per FIFA
rules on U12 field. See note 6
9) Ball in and out of play, method of scoring, throw-ins, goal kicks,
corner kicks shall be conform to FIFA.
10) Fouls and misconduct: Rules of FIFA
shall apply as well as N.P. United sportsmanship guidelines.
11) SLIDE TACKLES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
12) Spectators must sit along the outside
sidelines.
No one will be permitted to sit on the
goal ends or between the playing fields. This is
distracting for players as well as coaches trying to get the players
to do what is needed. |
