 Agenda - Executive Board Meeting

March 23, 2006

Maria’s 6:00

1)   Welcome                                                    Scott Jeske

Present:  Scott Jeske, Wayne Jones, Kim Campbell, Jody Kramer, Jerry McLatchey, Jennifer Waters, and Loree Barnes.

Ryan Cochran is running the concession stand on Saturdays.

Joshua Alexander is interested in publishing a newsletter weekly.  Kramers are supportive of this change.

Approve scholarship applicants:  Ryan and Erica -approved.  Awards Banquet is in the first part of May.  Need to contact the guidance counselors and let them know that we have an award to present.

2)   Executive Board Updates:

A.  Treasurer                                              Wayne Jones

Looking into tax filing, everything is looking fine at this point.  Going from this year forward.

IYSA will be invoicing for the amount of players registered for spring per Jody, and should be paid the week before April 15th.

B.  Vice President                                       Phil Melangton

Travel Team season began 3/18. Doing really well.

C.  Coaching Director                                 Rob Flask

      Coach/Team Rep meeting was 3/22.

D.  Registrar                                               Jody Kramer/Kim Campbell

Jody officially passing the position to Kim.

Should be able to do online registration through IYSA for fall 2006, and set up McDonalds as a computer assistance registration point.  Online registration       will deposit funds directly to a secondary account with 5/3 Bank.  The fees to use this system will be incorporated into the price of registration.  The    database will link them automatically to their rank, and it is not shared with other leagues.  Will also eliminate the underage questions, because the website       requires the birthdate to be entered and automatically assigns the player to U6 or U10 or whatever is appropriate.  Tentatively mark June 10th as the day to     go to IYSA to set up online registration.

E.  Recreation League Coordinator             Jennifer Waters

      Teams are formed and scheduled.

Rob has the schedule and needs to return that to Jennifer ASAP.  Stephanie Neier needs a copy of that also.

Jennifer is wanting to spend more time with the IYSA database and find some easier ways to work with it.

F.  Secretary                                              Loree Barnes

We need to remove cell phone numbers from the website, except Jen Waters (she is e- mailing number to Scott).  Registration forms and so forth need to        have Jody's # changed to Kim's #. Double check information on contact list and notify Scott of any        updates.

Publish and remind parents to check the website frequently.  When concession is painted - add the website to the paint design.

Inclement weather will be on the website, and Jerry is going to be installing a yellow beacon light on the top of the concession stand to be turned on when        fields are closed.

Develop a plan to resale or turn over the used equipment to players that have needs -    we need someone to handle the used equipment.

3)  Status of the new fields                                Jerry McLatchey

Signs are out, and the plan was released.  They are planting the last cash crop this spring and are hoping to get grass seed planted after that is harvested.       Looking for grants to help fund some of the preliminary structure.  The way it looks now, we would be cutting our own fields.

Possibly approach businesses and begin fund raising in the fall or spring dependent on when grass is planted and plans are released to the public.

Golf cart is in need of repair.

4)  Closing Statements and Adjournment           Scott Jeske

Picture day is April 22nd.  Forms will be distributed with newsletter on the 15th.

Board Members will be wearing a red polo type shirt that states NPUO Board Member.

Notice in newsletter:  Donate old colored jerseys to 3rd world countries per IYSA.

Jersey lettering has been changed from black to white on the red side.  This change will not affect the teams, and the black lettered jerseys will be worn until phased completely out.

Post and 52 will have an indoor soccer facility, also Indy Naz Indoor Soccer may be places to co-advertise with.

Trophy selection:  decided on trophy with spinning soccer emblem w/soccer player on  top.
